
Ken Fredrickson
Vice President, Fine Wine Marketing and Sales
One of fewer than 90 Master Sommeliers in the United States, Ken Fredrickson oversees the development of the Wirtz Beverage Group Fine Wine business. Fredrickson continually examines all opportunities for growth, operational efficiencies, brand alignment and brand procurement.
Fredrickson has earned praise for his wine lists and restaurants while working alongside world-renowned chefs Charlie Trotter, at Charlie Trotter's in Chicago and Las Vegas and Wolfgang Puck, at Spago and Chinois. His endeavors have been met with critical acclaim by leading food and wine critics from the Los Angeles Times, New York Times and the Denver Post, among others.
Most recently, Fredrickson served as founder and owner of Nevada Wine Agents. Brought into the Wirtz Beverage Group in 2005, Nevada Wine Agents is a boutique wine and liquor wholesale distributorship and is also southern Nevada's premier wholesaler of fine wine.
Earlier in his career, Fredrickson opened critically acclaimed restaurants Koshu and Restaurant Terroir in Jackson, Wyoming and Adega Restaurant and Wine Bar in Denver. In 2002, Esquire magazine named Adega the “Best New Restaurant” in the United States.
Fredrickson has been a host lecturer for the Taste of Vail and has also served as the featured speaker at the Texas Sommelier Conference, Jackson Hole Wine Auction, Pebble Beach Food and Wine Festival, and Masters of Food and Wine Festival. Fredrickson has judged several wine competitions including the World of Wine Fair in Oregon and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Jackson Wine Auction.
Fredrickson received his degree from the School of Hospitality at University Of Nevada, Las Vegas.
